Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Isabelle Perrin Harp Workshop continues to offer an excellent opportunity for harpists of the Americas to study with one of today's most renowned European teachers. Working with Isabelle Perrin, students gain a wealth of advice on stylistic interpretation, technique, practicing strategies, and preparation for competitions. As harp professor at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, member of the Orchestre National de France, and active international soloist, Isabelle Perrin is well placed to guide harpists along any career path.
This year's workshop has been extended to eight days, due to popular demand! It will include a clinic focusing on harpist's health and well-being given by Dr. Jan Messerschhmidt, D.O., who will address issues like stretching, posture and tendinitis. Also, for harpists who are preparing chamber music or concertos, pianist Damien Luce will again be available for rehearsals and accompanying lessons.
The unique setting of northern Michigan allows students to enjoy quaint Traverse City and the natural beauty of its surrounding lakes, beaches and rivers, with activities planned throughout the week. The Interlochen Center for the Arts as well as many local festivals provide ample opportunity to attend concerts and films.
We hope to see you soon, for eight days of intense learning and fun!
